Abstract

The number of patients suffering from obesity and ventral rupture is increasing. In this connection the number of operations on correction of rupture defect and abdominoptosis is growing. The prophylaxis of suppurative inflammation com-plications among such patients is an urgent problem. The authors have carried out an analysis of different methods of prophylaxis of wound complications, showing that careful anchoring of skin and hypodermic pieces to the aponeurosis of ventral wall results in maximal prophylactic effect. The application of active or passive methods of drainage was ineffective and was accompanied by considerably amount of wound complications.
